Riley Gold Corp. (RLYG:TSX.V) provided an update in a news release on the exploration program currently underway at its Tokop gold project in Nevada.
"To date, we have been impressed with our field and research results, and we continue to grow more excited about the project upside," CEO Todd Hilditch said in the release.
So far, with its 2020-2021 program, Riley Gold embarked on detailed mapping and sampling to help with planning of its next Tokop drill program, to be carried out in 2021.
The British Columbia-based company took nine grab and chip samples, up to 3 meters in size, from dumps and outcrops in various structures at the property. The samples showed gold values up to 16.1 grams per ton (16.1 g/t) and silver values up to 105 g/t.
Riley Gold also procured 110 rock samples, which are at the lab awaiting assaying and geochemical analyses. Those results are expected early in 2021.
The next step for Tokop is additional geophysical surveys, also to help delineate drill targets, and they are slated for early 2021. Afterward, in about late Q1/21 or early Q2/21, the explorer will commence drilling.
