Golden Arrow Resources Corp. (GRG:TSX.V; GARWF:OTCQB; G6A:FSE) started drilling at its Tierra Dorada gold project in Paraguay, it announced in a news release.
With its 500-meter diamond drill campaign, the Vancouver-based explorer will test the Alvaro target area, which is located in the southern section of the two-block property. Previous surface and trench sampling there demonstrated multiple veins that returned high-grade gold mineralization, the company stated. Golden Arrow will test at least eight of those vein showings, including the hanging wall and footwall rocks that were not amenable to trench sampling.
The program is expected to take about a month, however, while it is in progress, the company stated that it may decide to expand it.
At the same time, Golden Arrow will continue with regional mapping along with rock and stream sampling in both of Tierra Dorada's property blocks. An induced polarization survey is planned for when Paraguay's COVID-19 restrictions are loosened and the company's geophysical team in Chile may enter the country, the company reported.
