Granite Creek Copper Ltd. (GCX:TSX.V) announced in a news release the tasks it recently completed during the first phase of its 2020 exploration program at its Stu copper-gold project in the Yukon Territory's Minto Copper District.
Since mid-July, when the Vancouver-based explorer began its campaign at Stu, it re-logged, re-sampled and analyzed some of the highest grade core that it relocated and that had not ever been sampled.
The company also took soil samples and shipped them to the Bureau Veritas assay labs for analysis of multiple metals, including gold.
Granite Creek also began refining potential future drill targets. It will use the data collected from its 2020 efforts to date to better understand the structural controls, the alteration and the metals distribution within Stu's mineralized areas.
In other news, Granite Creek announced that its president and CEO Tim Johnson will participate in the first of two planned webinars that will be part of the virtual, Yukon Exploration Series event on Aug. 6, 2020.
