Black Tusk Resources Inc. (TUSK:CSE; BTKRF:OTCMKTS; 0NB:FSE) finished compiling and began analyzing data on its MoGold property north of Val d'Or, Quebec, it announced in a news release.
The British Columbia-headquartered company stated that it retrieved information from various public sources, including as Mineral Titles–GESTIM) and Geological Information System–SIGEOM. Collectively, they provided regional geology, mineral showings, drill hole locations and summaries, regional airborne magnetics, historic work assessment reports, and regional rock and soil sample results.
MoGold spans 1,964 hectares, encompasses 21 claims and adjoins Black Tusk's PG Highway platinum-palladium project. Claims at MoGold cover the historical Boily-Bérubé mineral showing.
The company provided in the news release some of its findings from that recently amassed data. For instance, eight holes were drilled historically at MoGold, six by Sullico Mines in 1971-1972 and two by Falconbridge in 2004.
One of the 2004 drill holes, FIE-15-02, returned the highest gold value, which was 0.173 grams per ton between 126.5 and 127 meters (126.5 and 127m) downhole. Results also showed that high gold values correlated with silver, copper and zinc.
Hole F71-1, drilled in 1971, showed the highest molybdenum value, which was 5,800 parts per million (5,800 ppm) between 130.14 and 131.06 meters downhole.
Hole FIE-15-04-01 drilled in the core returned elevated nickel values, which were up to 2,030 ppm between 189.1 and 190.6m downhole.
Regional magnetic mapping reports show a number of magnetic highs occurred at the property, which Black Tusk believes may be likely related to magnetite within the area's mapped ultramafic rocks.
The Canadian company will continue analyzing the data and adding further information to the MoGold database as it becomes available. The Black Tusk geological team is "expected to be on the ground in late summer to early fall in order to locate and possibly sample the Boily-Bérubé mineral showing with a focus on gold," the company stated.
