Gold Terra Resource Corp. (YGT:TSX.V; TRXXF:OTC; TXO:FRANKFURT) announced in a news release that in H2/20 it intends to drill test various targets at the high-grade Campbell Shear zone of its Yellowknife City gold project in the Northwest Territories.
"The second half of 2020 will be the most exciting time for Gold Terra as the Campbell Shear system emerges as the primary focus for the next drilling campaign for a potential new discovery for Gold Terra," President and CEO David Suda said in the release.
Currently, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based explorer is identifying the Campbell Shear zone targets to drill in the near future. It is deriving the targets from review of historical and recent data, including those from surface sampling, airborne geophysics, LiDAR, and soil and lake geochemistry. The company, at the same time, is analyzing the structure of the Campbell Shear mine area to better understand the controls on the high-grade gold lodes.
"The Campbell Shear zone is within secondary and tertiary structures associated with a large district-scale structure, the Yellowknife River Fault zone, that straddles the company's Yellowknife City gold property over 67 kilometers of strike length on the southern and northern extensions," the release described. The area remains largely underexplored.
Additionally, Gold Terra is planning a subsequent drill program at Crestaurum, also at the Yellowknife City project, aiming to further extend the deposit at depth and along strike.
