CloudMD Software & Services Inc. (DOC:CSE; DOCRF:OTCQB; 6PH:FSE) announced in a news release that its LiveCare telehealth platform has been added to approved vendor lists for some of Canada's largest healthcare associations, encompassing 200,000-plus practitioners.
Those organizations include the Doctors of BC, the BC Optometry Association, the BC Centre for Ability, the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, OntarioMD, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
"Being included on the approved vendor lists of major health associations across Canada continues to validate Livecare's leading secure telemedicine solutions," CloudMD CEO Dr. Essam Hamza said in the release.
CloudMD acquired Livecare in January 2020, and now nearly 600 practitioners are using it. Since March 1, 2020, the Vancouver-based company added more than 200 new customers to the platform. Today, more than 1,300 telemedicine visits are being done through Livecare each week, and the number is on the rise.
"Livecare offers practitioners an immediate turnkey telehealth solution to give their patients access to virtual healthcare, especially important during COVID-19," Hamza said. "Many practices have been forced to shut down, and Livecare provides a secure, alternative for practitioners to continue providing the best care to their patients."
