Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PAT:TSX; PTOTF:OTCQX) announced in a news release it was certified as a NVIDIA Metropolis Software Partner.
NVIDIA's program offers system design tools and software that deliver intelligent video analytics (IVA) solutions for various applications, such as smart cities, and for solving challenging problems with artificial intelligence, deep learning and the Internet of Things.
Companies that have NVIDIA's offerings deployed can easily manage and upgrade the software and scale their IVA solutions, such as high-end smart sensors like those in Patriot One's video recognition software threat detection solution in PATSCAN, Patriot One noted.
As a partner, Patriot One will have its PATSCAN platform offered as part of the NVIDIA Metropolis ecosystem. It will have access to a NVIDIA technical team and various NVIDIA hardware and software development kits. Both should help the Vancouver-based company accelerate deep learning application development time and improve product performance. Also, Patriot One will promote its system at NVIDIA and third party events.
"In addition to our current video threat detection modules for (i) weapon detection and (ii) public disturbance and fights, our team continues to look at other module applications, including the use of thermal cameras. Our platform, including our video object recognition capabilities, will help our communities not only become smarter, but safer from a variety of seen and unseen threats," Patriot One CEO Martin Cronin said in the release.
