In a news release, Aben Resources Ltd. (ABN:TSX.V; ABNAF:OTCQB) announced that it has implemented "operational procedures across the company to protect the health of its office staff, field crews, contractors, stakeholders, and local communities during the COVID-19 global pandemic."
The firm added that wherever possible both office and field staff have been working from home according to government advisory orders to mitigate the potential effects of COVID-19. The company anticipates that they will continue to work remotely until the advisories are lifted.
Aben stated that it remains well-financed with over CA$1.2 million in the firm's treasury and that plans for fieldwork that was scheduled to be completed this year will be evaluated and updated as the current COVID-19 situation evolves. The firm commented in the report that it considers the health and safety of its staff and all stakeholders as paramount and that it is continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation.
The company also reported that Donald G. Myers has submitted his resignation as a director of the company. The firm noted that it appreciates Myers' key role in the development of the company and for his many years of service.
