In a news release, Galway Metals Ltd. (GWM:TSX.V) reported results from three highlight holes drilled at its Clarence Stream project in southwest New Brunswick.
"Galway's strong drill results demonstrate that Clarence Stream is an emerging new gold district in North America," President and CEO Robert Hinchcliffe said in the release. "Galway continues to receive evidence from drill results that the GMZ, Richard and Jubilee zones are part of the same 2.5 kilometer (2.5 km) long mineralized system."
The new results are from holes drilled in two areas: south of Richard and between Richard and Jubilee.
Hole 93 decreased the size of the gap between Richard and Jubilee to 350 meters (350m) from 1 km by extending Richard 97m to the southwest. The hole returned 10.8m of 4.5 grams per ton (4.5 g/t) gold.
Hole 87 hit 10.6 g/t gold over 47m plus 1.2 g/t gold over 32m. "The wide and high-grade intersection in hole 87 is among the best in the company's history," Hinchcliffe added. Its location between two similar intersects seen in stepout holes 72 and 78 "bodes very well for the Clarence Stream resource update scheduled for Q3/20, both from the perspective of any pit-constrained or underground resource."
Hole 81 returned 23m of 0.8 g/t gold. That hole was located 122m below and west of the hole that extended the Jubilee zone toward the Richard zone, hole 68.
Galway also noted that its management team will attend the upcoming Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference. They will host a booth, #2623A, on March 1 and 2 and participate in One-On-One meeting program on March 3 and 4.
