Newrange Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced in a news release it staked another 105 claims at its Pamlico project in Nevada to cover several anomalies recently identified through an induced polarization (IP) and resistivity survey.
The anomalies, which the company interprets as sulphide mineralization, warrant drill testing, the release noted. Some of these anomalies are close to surface, and others are at a depth of about 200 meters (200m). One strong anomaly that was detected was up to 1,000m wide and more than 1,000m long. It was located at a depth of about 150–200m.
"While it is difficult to say to what extent some of these may be interconnected, we can see pronounced trends that extend several hundred meters with similar attitudes to those observed in mineralized structures," CEO Robert Archer said in the release.
Newrange's newly acquired claims, which are contiguous to Pamlico's eastern and northern boundaries, added 878 hectares to the property, which now amounts to 2,558 hectares.
The Vancouver-based company stated that it is now planning a drill program for Pamlico, which is expected to commence later in Q1/20.
