Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TXG:TSX) reported in a news release drill results from the Sub-Sill deposit at its El Limón Guajes complex in Mexico.
Four intercepts are highlighted from the most recent batch of results. Hole SST-156 returned 35.1 grams per ton (35.1 g/t) gold over 6.1 meters (6.1m). Hole SST-139 showed 21.6 g/t gold over 3.5m. Hole SST-139 demonstrated 19.5 g/t gold over 5.9m. Hole LDGU-047 returned 15.7 g/t gold over 5.2m.
To date, drilling at Sub-Sill extended known mineralization 300m below existing reserves, and mineralization remains open at depth and along strike.
"The down-dip extensions of the mineralization of both Sub-Sill and El Limón Deep (ELD). . .are very encouraging. Sub-Sill has been an excellent 'sweetener' to the high-grade open pits. In the first three quarters of 2019, the deposit has contributed more than 60,000 ounces of gold production. The latest drill results show the potential of Sub-Sill to continue to be a sweetener well into the future," Torex President and CEO John Stanford said in the release. More than 60,000 ounces of gold have been produced from Sub-Still year to date, complementing production from the open pits.
Torex just began work at El Limón Deep, conducting the first long-hole, open-stope blast there last week. Next, in December, the company will test the removal of ore via the stope.
