Group Ten Metals Inc. (PGE:TSX.V; PGEZF:OTCQB; 5D32:FSE) completed its 2019 planned field work at its Stillwater West platinum group elements-nickel-copper project in Montana, in announced in a news release.
This portion of the exploration campaign consisted of drilling, geological sampling and mapping, and soil geochemistry surveying.
As for drilling, Group Ten conducted a maiden program at Stillwater West, drilling the most advanced known targets, to expand on mineralized zones delineated from historical drilling. Additionally, the exploration company re-evaluated about 12,000 meters of physical core from previous drilling by other operators.
Regarding less developed targets, Group Ten sampled and mapped their geology in preparation for future drilling.
In terms of soil geochemistry surveying, samples were procured from the project's western section and included the Boulder, Wild West and Chrome Mountain target areas. The objective was to hone existing targets and define new ones for 2020.
"We are excited to be driving towards the delineation of a formal mineral resource estimate at the three most advanced multikilometer targets with five earlier-stage, large-scale targets remaining to be tested," President and CEO Michael Rowley said in the release.
Currently, assays are pending on all of the soil, rock and drill samples. Once available, Group Ten will incorporate them into an updated block model, work expected to carry over into 2020.
