Newrange Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced in a news release that through underground channel sampling at Pamlico, it confirmed continuous gold and silver mineralization between the 5570 and 5518 levels of the Good Hope mine in Nevada.
"Our underground sampling program at Pamlico is continuing to provide valuable information in an extremely cost effective manner," CEO Robert Archer said in the release.
Results from 58 samples returned a range of gold grades from 0.017–68 grams per ton (0.017–58 g/t).
Findings also revealed a higher-grade core of mineralization between the two levels of 4.08 g/t gold and 51.5 g/t silver. This spanned 0.3–1 meter (0.3–1m) wide and averaged 0.7m wide.
This core was shown to sit in a larger envelope of mineralization averaging 1.2 g/t gold and 21.8 g/t silver.
"The current results indicate a zone of mineralization with a strike length ranging from 40–144m-plus and a dip extent in excess of 99m that remains open to expansion," the release noted.
While awaiting further results from Pamlico, Newrange moved on to sampling the adjacent Gold Bar mine "where we have found visible gold in the historic dumps outside the portals," Archer added.
