Liberty Gold Corp. (LGD:TSX; LGDTF:OTCQB) provided in a news release an update on its three past-producing gold properties in the United States' Great Basin: Black Pine, Goldstrike and Kinsley.
At Black Pine in southern Idaho, drill results have repeatedly returned thick, high-grade intervals of Carlin-style oxide gold mineralization. Returned oxide gold assays included 3.14 grams per ton (3.14 g/t) over 44.2 meters (44.2m) and 4.56 g/t over 9.1m.
New results from the Discovery 2 zone, which management believes is much larger, expanded the scope of mineralization to 175m in width. It remains open in all directions.
Reverse circulation drilling is ongoing at Black Pine, in the 1 square kilometer expanse between the historical A pit, B pit and A basin target.
As for Goldstrike in southwestern Utah, results are in from phase 1 of drilling that tested the Western zone, the Main zone and the Dip Slope zone to delineate further resources. Drilling hit mineralization in all three areas, indicating further drilling is warranted.
Regarding Kinsley in eastern Nevada, Liberty Gold will launch a 1,600m reverse circulation drill campaign there on Oct. 20. It will test the eastward extension of the Western flank high-grade sulphide resource and a new target in the center of the Kinsley gold trend.
