TMAC Resources Inc. (TMR:TSX) announced in a news release that recent drilling delivered strong results from its Doris and Doris regional programs at its Hope Bay property in Nunavut, Canada.
Underground drilling expanded the Doris BTD extension zone. Results showed, for instance, intercepts of 93.3 grams per ton (93.3 g/t) gold over 1.8 meters (1.8m), including 42 g/t gold over 0.6m and 333 g/t gold over 0.6m, in Hole TMDBE-19-50046. Hole TMDBE-19-50507 demonstrated 110.8 g/t gold over 10.8m.
As for TMAC's Doris regional campaign, maiden drill results from a new zone, Doris Valley, "are intriguing and we are evaluating our follow-up strategy," President and CEO Jason Neal said in the release.
Within the first 15m of surface at Doris Valley, intercepts were "promising," he added. Specifically, hole TMRDC-19-00004 encountered 9 g/t gold over 8.5m, including 15.4 g/t gold over 2.3m. Hole TMRDC-19-00003 hit 5.3 g/t gold over 4.8m, including 12.5 g/t gold over 1.6m.
"There is obviously more work required to follow up on this initial success, but this highlights the potential to grow our mineral inventory through even modest exploration investment," Neal added.
