Liberty Gold Corp. (LGD:TSX; LGDTF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it confirmed through drilling a 1-kilometer-long, northwest-trending, high-grade oxide gold zone at Black Pine in Idaho.
"The new drill results represent some of the best and highest grade unmined drill intercepts on the property, as measured by grade multiplied by thickness," the release noted.
Assay highlights came from hole LBP029, which returned 2.56 grams per ton (2.56 g/t) gold over 41.1 meters (41.1m), including 4.47 g/t gold over 19.8m, and including 8.76 g/t gold over 4.6m.
Hole LBP027 returned 2.18 g/t gold over 10.7m, including 2.90 g/t gold over 7.6m and 2.89 g/t gold over 25.9m.
For the long, high-grade intervals in LBP029 and LBP027, weighted average cyanide solubility is 95% and 96%, respectively.
Drilling in August will focus on both sides of the mineralized corridor and assessing the width of the gold mineralization in certain spots.
A second drill on the property is targeting a second discovery about 240m to the east of the first.
"Liberty Gold intends to define the size and grade of the two discoveries to date, then we will push outward from there," President and CEO Cal Everett said in the release.
