UGE International Ltd. (UGE:TSX.V; UGEIF:OTC) provided in a news release a global project update, including recent full completions, significant completions, new starts and ones in the pipeline.
"It's an exciting time for the company," CEO Nick Blitterswyk said in the release. "The repositioning of UGE is apparent as we complete previously won projects while starting many new ones in our growth markets."
As for full completions, in Canada, the energy firm finished all 15 sites of the total 9 megawatt (9 MW) Peterborough contract, the company's largest. UGE's subsidiary, UGE Consulting Services, wrapped up a microgrid feasibility study in Burkina Faso and a maintenance contract for an Ontario client. In the U.S., UGE saw to fruition the last installation of its Farmington, Minn., four rooftop sites portfolio.
Regarding significant completions, the company finished 12 out of 29 sites for Ontario-based Potentia Renewables. In the Philippines, it accomplished much of the work at the final site of the 3.9 MW project for the beverage company, Nature's Spring.
Additionally, UGE began a number of projects in the U.S., including 10 solar plus storage microgrid systems for New York City and a 3.1 MW, five-site portfolio with the New York City-based utility. In the Philippines, the company began deployment on three sites for one client and construction on six additional locations for others. In Canada, UGE Consulting began work on a project for the City of Toronto.
With respect to future projects, UGE USA has 14 in the pipeline, which have received or are waiting for interconnection approval.
