Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PAT:TSX; PTOTF:OTCQX) entered the international market by contracting with companies to sell its PATSCAN threat detection product outside of North America, it announced in a news release.
To date, Patriot One has garnered CA$1.96 million worth of overseas commitments through multiyear contracts with numerous resellers. Those, on top of its reseller agreements already in place in North America, take total global commitments to about CA$8.1 million.
Initial product shipments to the international resellers are slated to start this August.
Resellers are required to "use their best commercial efforts to deploy the PATSCAN platform, including associated software licenses, maintenance and support programs, throughout the engagement period," the release explained.
"Our partners are excited to be introduced to the power of our approach, which is based on the integration of multiple threat detection sensors into our PATSCAN platform," Patriot One CEO Martin Cronin said in the release.
In fact, Patriot One recently added a fourth covert threat detection sensor/software component to its product, it also announced. It is the PATSCAN TMS, which can detect concealed threats on one's body or in one's bag, without having to generate a body image. This reduces costs and protects people's privacy. The company licensed the TMS technology from California-based developer, Quasar Federal Systems Inc.
