NexTech AR Solutions Corp. (NTAR:CSE; NEXCF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it entered an agreement with Mr. Steak, a maker of outdoor grills and grilling accessories, to develop for it an ARitize University, augmented reality-enhanced online education and training around its brand.
Mr. Steak already has subscribed to and used NexTech's WebAR software-as-a-service on its website. Now, for the debut of its steak line, the company is expanding its online AR offerings by the addition of Mr. Steak University.
The concept will feature a holograph of Mr. Steak (company founder Mick Scully) delivering the lessons he's learned over his 30 years of grilling. Food preparation, cooking instruction and grilling demos will all be featured, in three dimensions.
For the full immersive experience, viewers will need NexTech's ARitize app, now available for iOS and Android. With it, they will be able to access and "attend" the Mr. Steak University from any mobile device.
"Being able to use augmented reality for visualizations, and 3D instructional cooking using precision high-quality products like the Mr. Steak grill and other precision products is super exciting for us as it opens the door to AR training in the entire food preparation and cooking industry," said Evan Gappelberg, CEO of NexTech. "We are very excited to be bringing our AR University platform to market with a leading brand like Mr. Steak.
