Aben Resources Ltd. (ABN:TSX.V; ABNAF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it just started its fourth season of drilling at Forrest Kerr, on the heels of completing its planned 2019 drill program at Justin in the Yukon.
At Forrest Kerr, in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, Aben will start with 5,000 meters of diamond drilling and expand up to 10,000m based on results. Initial drilling will be concentrated in and around the North Boundary zone. There, company will test for a northward extension of the high-grade mineralized core and possible connection with historical high-grade gold discoveries.
Drilling will be done, too, in the South Boundary zone where broad polymetallic intercepts in quartz veins were previously discovered. "We hope to gain greater understanding of structural influences in the highly mineralized Boundary zone," President and CEO Jim Pettit said in the release.
The Canadian exploration and development company expects it also will drill this summer a recently identified, high-priority target in the Forrest zone, 13 kilometers sound of the Boundary zone. "The area of interest at Forrest Kerr is defined by highly anomalous gold-in-soil and gold-in-rock values coincident with a strong geophysical conductive anomaly originally reported in 2013," the release noted.
The company's recent drill program at Justin constituted diamond and rotary air blast drilling over 1,556m. Results are pending and will be reported in the upcoming weeks, the company disclosed.
