Sproutly Canada Inc.'s (SPR:CSE; SRUTF:OTCQB) Chief Science Officer Dr. Arup Sen was featured in an Investorideas.com potcast during which he discussed the company's recent developments and preparation for the Canadian launch of the cannabis beverages market this fall, it was announced in a news release.
As far as the latest news, Sproutly and OCC Holdings Ltd., a Moosehead Breweries affiliate, entered into an agreement to form an exclusive joint venture for Moosehead to develop, produce and market nonalcoholic cannabis-infused beverages in Canada using Sproutly's Infuz20, or proprietary water-soluble cannabinoids.
"We will be pretty much standing alone in the field of making beverages that will include natural chemicals in their natural state from cannabis and hemp plants," Sen was quoted saying in the news release.
Sproutly has created 44 beverage formulations and tested most of them for stability in both cans and bottles as regulations have not clarified which container type will be allowed. Sen noted the testing so far has been successful, with the product in glass bottles remaining static in terms of quality of experience. In glass bottles, the product has been tested for just over 5.5 months and in cans, for about four months and a week.
The company's next product development, according to Sen, will likely be tinctures and capsules, using its Bio-Natural Oil alone or in blends.
