Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (SCAN:TSX.V; FSE:D2) announced in a news release it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Utah Attorney General's Office to beta test HEXWAVE in the state.
The testing in Utah will be done at some of these types of public places, yet to be determined: sports and concert arenas; stadiums and Olympic venues; primary, secondary and higher education facilities; places of worship, facilities and property owned by or affiliated with faith entities; government offices, buildings and facilities; amusement parks; and entertainment events, conventions, shows and festivals.
The program goal is to improve public safety for Utahns. Attorney General Sean Reyes will work with Liberty to "facilitate introductions and advise interested parties and venues on the potential for HEXWAVE technology," the release noted.
"HEXWAVE can be applied in a variety of settings to provide a means to identify possible threats before they advance into attacks. We are excited that the Attorney General of Utah recognizes the potential value of this technology and the opportunity it provides for enhanced security in the state," said Bill Riker, CEO of Liberty Defense.
Beta testing is scheduled to start later this year and continue into next.
