Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (SCAN:TSX.V; FSE:D2) was accepted into the NVIDIA's Inception program, it announced in a news release.
The program helps start-ups that are advancing their industries through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL), through the product development, prototype and deployment stages. The incubator does this by providing tools, technology and expertise along with training from NVIDIA's Deep Learning Institute, hardware grants and marketing support.
Capitalizing on those offerings, Liberty Defense intends to further develop the automatic detection technology in HEXWAVE. This product's automatic threat detection employs AI and DL methods, and its three-dimensional imaging uses graphics processing units.
This development grew out of Liberty's attendance at NVIDIA's 2019 GPU Technology Conference, a regular global meeting where attendants have access to training, knowledge and experts on major computing topics.
"At the conference, our team gathered information on the available tools to accelerate computing, optimizing and deploying models efficiently, data preprocessing and labeling, and object and anomaly detection, among other information and activities," Aman Bhardwaj, Liberty's chief operating officer and president of U.S. operations, said in the release.
