Azarga Uranium Corp. (AZZ:TSX; AZZUF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it has been granted an Aug. 28, 2019 evidentiary hearing date to address the final contention regarding a Nuclear Regulatory Commission license for its Dewey Burdock uranium project in South Dakota. A decision by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board should ensue on Nov. 29, 2019, thus resolving the issue by year-end 2019.
The disagreement has to do with delineating and protecting historical and cultural resources in accordance with the U.S. National Environmental Policy Act.
"We look forward to resolving the only remaining contention in Q4/19 and advancing our initial development priority, the Dewey Burdock project, as the uranium market fundamentals continue to strengthen," President and CEO Blake Steele said in the release.
