Canyon Gold Corp. is an exploration company that owns 30 mineral lease claims and has optioned 280 mineral lease claims for a total of 10.3 sections, approximately 6,613 acres, situated on the northeast-southwest Long Canyon Trend in the Spruce Ridge area of Nevada. The nearby buyout of Fronteer Gold Inc. by Newmont Mining Corp. for $2.3B and the success of surrounding companies prove the area has the potential to become a major Nevada gold producer. Canyon Gold plans to execute its phase two exploration program in Spring/Summer 2013. The company's goal is to build sustained shareholder value through expansion, exploration and the discovery of Carlin-type gold deposits.
