Orbite Aluminae Inc. is in the pre-commercialization phase of an innovative and clean technology that aims to become the new standard in alumina production due to its low processing costs and lack of toxic red mud residues linked to traditional processes. Its patented and innovative continuous-acid-leaching process allows for the extraction of smelter-grade alumina, high-purity alumina, rare metals (scandium and gallium) and rare earths from a variety of sources such as aluminous clay, bauxite, kaolin and other aluminum-containing ores. Orbite owns the mining rights to a 600 sq km deposit of homogeneous aluminous clay in Grande-Vallée, Québec, Canada.
