Trident Resources Corp. (ROCK: TSXV; TRDTF:OTCMKTS) has unveiled an absolutely jaw-dropping drill result, the likes of which I haven't witnessed in a very long time. In an early morning press release on April 29, the company reported five holes from their winter drilling campaign at Contact Lake.
The standout was hole CL26036, which encountered a phenomenal grade of 15.11 grams of gold over a robust 51.83 meter interval starting at 256.00 meters depth. In gram/meter terms, that equates to an astounding 783.15 - hands down the most impressive drill hit in Contact Lake's history.
Reinforcing the consistency of the mineralization, Trident also highlighted hole CL26032, which returned 5.07 g/t Au over 21.50 meters. On its own, that would be considered a smashing success at 109 grams/meters gold.
It's important to note Trident already boasts a 2 million ounce gold 43-101 resource and kicked off this drill program with a healthy CA$12 million treasury. These latest stellar results are poised to significantly boost that ounce count.
I fully anticipate the stock will surge dramatically higher on the back of this news.
The last time I encountered a deposit sporting grades of this caliber was Great Bear, which skyrocketed from CA$0.50 a share to being acquired for CA$29. However, Great Bear's share count was nearly double, and gold was trading at a much lower price point back in 2022.
I highly recommend you take a look at their excellent company presentation.
