When a junior resource company sits at the intersection of geopolitics, tightening supply chains, and improving technical structure, it deserves a closer look. That appears to be the case once again with American Tungsten Corp. (TUNG:CSE; TUNGF:OTCQB; RK9:FSE), which continues to advance its Idaho-based tungsten project while the broader market begins to recognize the strategic importance of domestic critical metals.

Since our previous coverage, the company has reported additional drilling results, continued underground advancement, and strengthened its positioning within the U.S. critical minerals framework.
At the same time, the chart has repaired itself following a deeper-than-expected correction and has now resumed its upward trajectory, recently meeting the CA$3.10 technical target.
About the Company
American Tungsten Corp. (TUNG:CSE; TUNGF:OTCQB; RK9:FSE) is focused on developing U.S. domestic sources of critical metals, with a primary emphasis on tungsten. Unlike many thematic plays, this is not a conceptual narrative built around future demand assumptions. Tungsten is already classified as a critical mineral by both the United States and Canada due to its direct applications in defense, aerospace, industrial tooling, nuclear energy, and advanced manufacturing.
More than 60% of global tungsten reserves and approximately 84% of global production are controlled by China. Processing capacity is even more concentrated. In an environment of rising geopolitical tension and growing defense expenditures, this concentration represents a structural supply vulnerability for the United States.
Global market projections estimate tungsten demand growing from approximately US$6.8 billion in 2025 to more than US$10 billion by 2030. As of early 2026, tungsten prices have strengthened materially, averaging roughly US$1,738 per MTU, reflecting tightening supply conditions and increased strategic awareness.
American Tungsten's strategy is straightforward: advance a past-producing U.S. tungsten asset with the potential to become a meaningful domestic source at a time when supply security has become a national priority.
The Principal Project: IMA Mine, Idaho

The company's flagship asset is the IMA Mine, located in Idaho within a proven mining jurisdiction. The property consists of 396 acres of patented claims and approximately 1,989 acres of unpatented claims, providing both security of tenure and expansion potential.
IMA is a past-producing tungsten-molybdenum system characterized geologically as a Climax-type molybdenum porphyry with high-grade tungsten-bearing quartz veins. Mineralization includes hubnerite and scheelite, with associated silver, molybdenum, copper, lead, and zinc. Vein systems extend over roughly 2,000 feet of strike and approximately 900 feet in width, with mineralization occurring within metasediments along anticlinal hinges.
Historical drilling across more than 129 holes totaling approximately 57,659 feet confirmed significant tungsten and silver mineralization. Recent drilling by American Tungsten, including a 15,000-foot program initiated in 2024 and continuing into 2026, has validated historical work while extending mineralized zones. Reported intercepts include tungsten grades exceeding 1% WO₃, reinforcing the high-grade nature of portions of the system.
In addition to primary vein targets, historical tailings on site are estimated between 175,000 and 230,000 tons grading 0.15% to 0.25% WO₃ with associated silver credits. This provides potential reprocessing optionality alongside underground resource expansion.
In addition to tungsten, the IMA system hosts molybdenum mineralization, a metal that carries its own strategic importance. Molybdenum is a high-melting-point alloying element used primarily to strengthen steel and superalloys, enhancing hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. It is essential in jet engines, power generation turbines, pipelines, automotive components, and heavy industrial manufacturing. Like tungsten, molybdenum supply is geographically concentrated, and its role in defense, energy infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing adds another layer of strategic relevance to the IMA project. While tungsten remains the primary focus, the presence of molybdenum provides additional metal exposure within the same mineralized system.

Infrastructure is a meaningful advantage. The project benefits from existing underground access, road connectivity, low-cost power, water rights, and a skilled local workforce. Unlike many early-stage critical mineral projects, IMA is not a conceptual discovery; it is a rehabilitated, drill-validated system with defined mineralization and tangible development pathways.
The stated objective is clear: expand and delineate resources while positioning IMA as a potential cornerstone of domestic U.S. tungsten supply.
Management

American Tungsten's leadership team brings more than 150 years of combined experience across mining, exploration, operations, and capital markets. That depth becomes increasingly important as the company transitions from validation drilling toward potential development planning.
Management's strategy has emphasized methodical advancement rather than promotional cycles. The focus has been on confirming historical data, extending mineralization, advancing underground access, and maintaining operational momentum through steady drilling.
The company has also signaled its intention to pursue strategic partnerships and potential non-dilutive funding avenues where appropriate.
Given tungsten's classification as a critical mineral and its direct relevance to U.S. defense supply chains, the project aligns with broader policy objectives aimed at rebuilding domestic processing and production capacity.
This combination of operational discipline and strategic awareness positions the company differently from earlier-cycle tungsten stories that were primarily price-driven.

Share Structure

American Tungsten currently has approximately 49 million shares outstanding and a market capitalization in the range of CA$120 million. For a company advancing a past-producing critical metals asset with ongoing drilling and expanding targets, the structure remains relatively tight.
Institutional shareholders include established resource-focused investors such as Lowell Resources Fund and Pala Investments, providing validation from groups known for conducting rigorous technical and financial due diligence.
Previous financings have supported drilling and underground advancement rather than short-term promotional activity. As the project continues to evolve, the existing structure provides meaningful leverage to positive drilling outcomes and to continued strength in tungsten pricing.
Technical Outlook

From a technical standpoint, the chart has undergone an important reset and recovery.
After achieving and exceeding prior upside objectives, including the CA$1.20, CA$2.15, and CA$3.50 levels, the shares entered a deeper corrective phase than typically occurs in a standard consolidation. That correction, while uncomfortable, effectively reset sentiment and removed excess speculation from the structure.
Since then, price has rebuilt above major moving averages, reclaimed rising trend support, and demonstrated renewed accumulation on advancing volume. The recent move has now met the CA$3.10 technical target, confirming that the recovery phase may have transitioned into a new leg higher.
If momentum continues and broader critical metals sentiment remains constructive, the next visible objective sits near the CA$4.00 level. Longer term, the larger base structure supports a potential big-picture target toward CA$7.00, assuming continued operational progress and sustained strength in tungsten markets.
As always, technical projections are conditional. Sustained closes above prior resistance and continued volume support will be necessary to confirm the next phase.
Conclusion
American Tungsten Corp. (TUNG:CSE; TUNGF:OTCQB; RK9:FSE) represents a convergence of geology, geopolitics, and improving technical structure. The IMA Mine offers a rare combination of past production, patented claims, expanding high-grade tungsten mineralization, and existing infrastructure within the United States.
At a time when China continues to dominate global tungsten production and processing, domestic supply development carries both economic and strategic weight. With drilling advancing, technical targets being met, and tungsten prices reflecting tightening supply dynamics, the company appears positioned for continued progress.
As with all junior mining companies, risks remain. Resource delineation is ongoing, commodity prices can fluctuate, and development timelines are never guaranteed. With that said, based on current fundamentals and improving technical conditions, American Tungsten Corp. I believe the company is a Speculative Buy.
