There is no way around the fact that a lot of small-cap gold miners have become a lot cheaper after a "blood bath"—in the words of SG Hiscock's Adrian DiMattina—over the past three months.

Over the period, the ASX Small Resources Index is down by a bit more than 30%, prior to today's trading. By contrast, the broader ASX All Ordinaries Index has fallen about 4.5%.
